HPEORTONER builds compatible ink and toner cartridges for home and small-office printers and sells them direct. The whole business rests on one promise that is easy to state and hard to keep: the cartridge you order fits the printer you own.
Why compatible cartridges exist at all
Printer hardware is sold cheap. The margin lives in the consumables, which is why a printer can cost less than three sets of cartridges for it. None of that is a secret and none of it is illegal — but it does mean the price on a box of original toner has very little to do with what is inside the box.
A compatible cartridge is the same class of part, built by someone who is not recovering the cost of your printer. That is where the savings come from. It is not a trick, and it is not a lower grade of ink.
What we sell, stated plainly
HPEORTONER cartridges are compatible cartridges — newly built to fit and function in the printers listed on each product page. They are not made by HP, Canon, Brother or Epson, and we are not affiliated with any of them. Manufacturer names and cartridge numbers appear on this site for exactly one reason: to tell you which printers our cartridges fit. The full trademark statement is in our Terms of Service.

1. Knowing exactly what fits
Most cartridge sites make you translate your printer into a part number yourself, then hope. We keep a printer-by-printer compatibility list behind the site, so you can start from the machine on your desk instead of from a code on a label. Start at Find your printer, or read the Compatibility Guide if you would rather understand the numbering first.
When you have told us your printer, every product page tells you plainly whether that item fits it. Including when it does not.
2. Being honest about the price comparison
Where we show a Compare at OEM price, that figure is the printer manufacturer's own price for the equivalent cartridge — a different product from a different maker, not a former price of ours. We do not print a struck-through "was" price we never charged. The source and check date for those figures are stated in our Terms of Service.
Page yields on this site are measured to ISO/IEC 19752 (mono toner) and ISO/IEC 24711 (inkjet) at 5% page coverage — the same standards printer manufacturers publish against, so the comparison is like for like. Your real-world yield depends on what you print; dense graphics burn through any cartridge faster than text.
3. Standing behind it for two years
Every cartridge carries a two-year warranty, and if one of ours damages your printer we pay to put it right. The coverage, the exclusions and the evidence a claim needs are all set out on the Warranty page — including the part that costs us, which is that we ask for a technician's diagnosis before paying a printer-damage claim.
What separates us from an unbranded cartridge
- Chip status is on the product page. "Printer does not show ink levels" is the single most common complaint about cheap cartridges. We state whether a chip is included rather than letting you find out.
- Page yield is per variant, not per product. A standard and an XL cartridge do not print the same number of pages, so they do not share one number here.
- Compatibility is a list, not a guess. Every product page carries the full searchable list of printers that item fits.
- There is a real return path. If it does not fit the printer you selected, we pay the return shipping — see the Return Policy.
How our cartridges are made and checked

Things we have decided not to do
- Write our own reviews. There are none on the site because we have not connected a review platform yet. The reasoning is on the Reviews page.
- Invent a discount. No fake original price, no countdown that resets, no "only 2 left" unless there really are two.
- Bury the chip question. If an item has no chip, the product page says so on the front.
- Sell you something our own data says will not fit. If your printer is not on the list, the page tells you, even though the easy thing would be to stay quiet.
