Warranty

A white laser multifunction printer on an office credenza

Two years, and we cover your printer

Every HPEORTONER cartridge is warranted for two years from the delivery date against defects in materials and workmanship. If one of our cartridges damages your printer, we pay to put it right. The detail below is what that actually means.

What the cartridge warranty covers

  • Leaking, cracking, or physical failure of the cartridge
  • Failing well short of its stated page yield under normal use
  • Not being recognized by a printer listed as compatible on the product page
  • Streaking, banding, blank output, or similar print defects traceable to the cartridge

Remedy: a free replacement, or a refund if we cannot supply one. Your choice where we can offer both.

Printer damage cover

If an HPEORTONER cartridge physically damages your printer, we will pay for the repair, or replace the printer with an equivalent model, up to the lower of the repair cost and the printer's current market value.

To claim, we need:

  1. Proof you bought the cartridge from us and it was within its two-year period
  2. A written diagnosis from a qualified service technician attributing the damage to our cartridge — this is the part we cannot waive, because it is what separates a cartridge fault from an unrelated printer fault
  3. The cartridge itself, which we may ask to inspect

What is not covered

  • A cartridge that has simply run out — that is use, not a defect
  • Cartridges refilled, modified, or damaged after delivery
  • Damage caused by someone else's cartridge, or by OEM cartridges
  • Printer faults unconnected to our cartridge: paper jams, worn rollers, a fuser at end of life, electronics, connectivity, firmware, display faults
  • Accidental damage, liquid damage, power surges, and general wear
  • Cosmetic marks that do not affect printing
  • Indirect losses — lost business, downtime, missed deadlines, lost data
  • Cartridges bought from anyone other than this store

Does using our cartridges void your printer's warranty?

In the United States, generally no. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. § 2302(c)) stops a manufacturer from voiding a warranty just because you used a third-party consumable, unless it gives its own consumables away free or holds an FTC waiver. What a manufacturer can still do is decline to cover damage a third-party part actually caused. That is the exact gap our printer damage cover exists to close.

Making a claim

Email support@example.com with your order number and a description of the problem. For print-quality issues, a photo of the output tells us more than any description. We aim to reply within one business day.

Your statutory rights

This warranty is in addition to the rights you have under law, not instead of them.
