Installation
Open the front cover and slide the drum and toner out together as one unit. Release the toner cartridge from the old drum, clip it into the new drum until it locks, then slide the unit back in until it seats.
If your printer asks you to reset the drum counter, do that from its own menu.

Will this void my Brother printer's warranty?
In the United States, generally no. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act stops a manufacturer voiding a warranty just because you used a third-party consumable. No. This part does not use a chip — the original does not either, so the printer estimates the level rather than reading it. Nothing is missing that the original would have given you.If the printer shows a non-genuine cartridge message, that is a separate thing and it is normal.
